Membership fees

CIHT subscriptions run on an annual basis, January to December. We offer a pro rata rate in the first year of your membership, meaning you only pay from the month you join until the end of the calendar year, thereafter you pay the full year's fee in January.

We offer a range of payment options including credit/debit card and direct debit.

UK membership applies to residents in the UK on 1 January. International membership applies to residents outside the UK on 1 January. A reduced fee has been applied if you reside in a lower or middle income country (LMIC) as defined by the World Bank.

If you have any questions about joining CIHT or pro-rata fees, please ask our Membership Team at membership@ciht.org.uk or complete the enquiry form

How to pay for your membership

Payment by card

We accept payments by Diners MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit and Maestro accounts. This can be done through the following methods:

  • Online: pay by credit card via the membership tab when editing your details via MyCIHT
  • By phone: please call +44 020 7336 1555‬‬‬ (Option 1) with your card payment details.

Payment via Direct Debit

For members based in the UK and Republic of Ireland, Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay. We offer two options for paying by Direct Debit:

  • Annual Direct Debit: one lump sum payment due on or immediately after 31 January each year. If you’re setting up a Direct Debit arrangement after 31 January, you’ll be notified of the collection date. Annual direct debit payers receive a 10% discount on the invoice fee. If you do not currently pay your fees by annual direct debit, you will be able to set this up in a few simple steps by logging in to your MyCIHT account.
  • Members can pay their membership subscription in instalments over a maximum of three months on request. Members paying in instalments by direct debit will not receive the 10% direct debit discount.

Failed Direct Debit payments
Two unsuccessful collections in a membership period will result in CIHT not being able to offer direct debit as a payment method and you will be required to settle your remaining balance.

If you are an existing direct debit payer and would like to change your direct debit details or frequency selected, please contact the Membership  Team on +44 020 7336 1555‬‬‬ (Option 1) or at membership@ciht.org.uk

If you need to discuss your membership or payment options, we are here to help. Please contact the Membership team on +44 (0)20 7336 1555 (option 1) or email membership@ciht.org.uk and they will be happy to assist.
