In 2015, the Northern Ireland Branch became CIHT Northern Ireland. CIHT Northern Ireland is highly active. Four technical meetings are held between November and March each year in Belfast including joint meetings with the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Logistics and Transportation. Even if you’re not a member of CIHT, you’re still welcome to join us at any of our events.

Annual General Meeting 2025
CIHT Northern Ireland will hold its 2025 Annual General Meeting on Thursday 29 May 2025.
The AGM offers an opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next. We invite all voting members of the region to join us.

In addition to our technical events, the committee holds a variety of events and meetings with technical seminars also held biennially with the co-operation of the local universities and other professional institutions.
The Region has a Social Evening each year to which members, guests and partners are invited. The Annual Dinner celebrates the year's achievements and is the highlight of the year with many 'movers and shakers' in the local transportation scene attend.
We have an active golfing group and the winners of the Harold Scott trophy represent the Region each year in the Locan Cup. The Region has won the Cup on numerous occasions!
