In March 2015, the West Midlands Branch became CIHT West Midlands. The region covers the areas of Staffordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Stoke-on-Trent, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and West Midlands. At the heart of the country with a rich industrial heritage, we have boundaries with six CIHT Regions. CIHT West Midlands has over 1000 members. The region attracts a lot of support for the regional committee and is well represented on CIHT’s Council and very involved with the work of the Council’s Boards. Even if you’re not a member of CIHT, you’re still welcome to join us at any of our events.

The region's AGM is typically held on the same evening as the Annual Dinner in the spring each year. There are normally committee meetings every few months throughout the year. The majority of meetings are typically held in Birmingham at Corporate Partners offices.
Are you interested in joining our committee? We are always looking for new people to expand our geographical, organisational and personal diversity.

CIHT West Midlands has secured, on a voluntary basis, the mentoring services of 12 highway & transportation professionals to provide guidance on your application for CEng, IEng, EngTech and the TPP qualification. Our mentors have a comprehensive knowledge of the application process and are all Chartered Engineers, a number of the mentors are recently qualified and will be happy to share their experience of the qualification process with you. If you are at the start of the process or even part way through contact Susan Giahi-Broadbent at: susan.giahi-broadbent@jacobs.com who will put you in touch with a suitable mentor to suit the qualification and your discipline.
The Region has an active Emerging Professionals Committee who organise a number of events throughout the year including a social get together and the very successful Meet the President event.
