You can apply if you are currently enrolled on an apprenticeship scheme.
When you complete your studies, you will be eligible to become an Associate Member or Member depending on your apprenticeship.
You can join free as an apprentice. When you complete your apprenticeship, you can qualify to become a Associate Member (AMCIHT) or as a Member (MCIHT) for a reduced subscription fee of only £50 in their first year of membership.

Transportation Professional provides in-depth insight into the issues at the forefront of highways and transportation practice and the innovative solutions the industry is taking to tackle them. You will access a digital copy of TP magazine and the archive of issues from the current year
Access CPD
As an apprentice member, you will have free access (worth £50) to our accredited CIHT e-learning course, An introduction to highways and transportation. This course aims to fill knowledge gaps, providing a comprehensive understanding of the highways and transportation industry. It explains and maps the transportation infrastructure sector, who works in it, what they do, and how they engage with one another. Apprentice members get access to specific courses as well as discounts on courses on CIHT Learn.
Make a difference
Become a STEM Ambassador aligned to CIHT and undertake a minimum of 1 hour a year of STEM Ambassador activities. Volunteering is a good way to get noticed by future employers.

Collated from entries into the CIHT Awards showcasing the talent of our sector, all shortlisted entries are available since 2020 for you to use in your coursework and dissertation
