Regional committee elections

Do you want to have your voice heard and make a difference to the sector? Now is the time to put yourself forward to stand for election to your Regional Committee.

To serve on a Regional Committee (in all roles with the exception of co-opted members), nominees must meet these qualifications:

  • Either reside in the region or any member can however elect to be a member of another Region or Nation, subject to notifying the fact to CIHT’s membership department, when for business and/or personal reasons; it would facilitate their attendance at Region or Nation events
  • Be an active member status in good standing (be up to date with their membership fees)

The role of the Regional Committee member is a vital part of CIHT. Your Regional Committee is made up of elected members from different sectors of the profession who collectively and individually have responsibility for:

  • Raising the profile of CIHT within your sector and region
  • Sharing knowledge, expertise and challenges in relation to the sector
  • Recruiting new members to CIHT
  • Communicating with other CIHT members in your workplace/sector/region
  • Giving feedback on policy issues and changes
  • Participating in campaigns and organising activities
  • Representing CIHT at conferences, events and seminars
  • Overseeing Regional Committee activity and communications

We would like eligible members with the drive, skills and experience, to assume leadership roles by nominating themselves as candidates for election. These are voluntary positions.
