The London borough of Harrow are seeking a skilled and experienced Principal Traffic Order Maker to join our team. The post involves responsibility for making all types of traffic management orders together with the associated notices and statutory consultation exercises. 


About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Road Traffic Regulation act and associated procedure regulations.
  • Understanding of the political content and environment of Local Government.
  • Experience of working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the use and operation of CAD, GIS and imaging software.
  • Demonstrable extensive track record of drafting and consulting on traffic management orders.
  • Extensive experience of drafting legal documentation.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Able to produce accurate work to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and to take the initiative in solving work related problems.
