The CIHT Annual Luncheon is the largest event in the CIHT calendar. It is the prefect opportunity for CIHT Members to invite their valued guests to a grand event and network with other members and professionals in the industry
Emma Ward is Director General Road Transport Group at the Department for Transport (DfT). Her current role encompasses investment in:
Emma joined DfT as Director General for Roads, Places and Environment Group on 17 March 2020.
Emma has extensive experience working with businesses, local leaders and stakeholders, as well as on place-based approaches to growth and devolution.
Emma was previously the Director General responsible for domestic planning and implementation at the Department for Exiting the European Union. She was also the founder Director of the cities and local growth team, a Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government cities and local growth joint team.
Zoe Lyons natural energy and sharp observations have seen her sell out tours and appear on shows including Live at the Apollo, Celebrity MasterChef, The One Show, Pointless Celebrities, and This Week.
With anecdotes and reflections on the absurdities and frustrations of modern life, Zoe’s first Edinburgh show saw her nominated for the Comedy Award Best Newcomer. She’s a regular at the Fringe and has built up a reputation as one of the most reliable performers on the circuit who, The Guardian has said “has what it takes to delight any crowd.”
Zoe is an immediately recognisable voice on Radio 4, and a regular on The News Quiz, Just a Minute, The Unbelievable Truth, and The Now Show, plus her own four part series Passport Paddy. She has appeared on Absolute Radio on The Frank Skinner Show and The Jason Manford Show.
Zoe also hosts the podcast Let's Talk About The Husband, with comedian Stephen Bailey. Each episode reality TV fanatic Stephen tries to prove to Zoe that there are many life and societal lessons to be learnt from reality TV.
Along with her run in Celebrity MasterChef, Zoe has appeared on celebrity editions of almost every quiz show from University Challenge and Pointless to Mastermind. On Mastermind her specialist subjects were Quentin Crisp and Jacques Cousteau.
Once your booking for the CIHT Annual Luncheon 2024 and payment have been approved by CIHT, you will be sent a guest list spreadsheet. Please fill this in with the requested information listed to ensure the CIHT Events Team are aware of your table plan and any guest requirements so that we can relay this information to the hotel.
The deadline for submitting this information to CIHT is 10:00 on 17 November 2024 and is to be sent to conferences@ciht.org.uk. Any information submitted after this deadline may not be reflected in the seating plan and any special dietary requirements may not be met to by the hotel.
Grosvenor House Hotel offers a service which allows you the opportunity to entertain your guests prior to the Luncheon either by booking a smaller hosted bar in the Ballroom with other companies, or alternatively you can hire a private suite. All hosted bars should be booked by 1st December.
