Millions of journeys are made by bus in London every day. Keeping these trips fast and reliable for our customers can be a major challenge on such a complex road network, and minimising disruption caused by roadworks is an important contributor. In this webinar, we will discuss how we can manage and coordinate roadworks for better bus journeys. The webinar will also cover the impact of roadworks on a business that operates a mixed service across a large area where they have to manage sometimes lengthy diversions and delays.
Paul works for TfL Operations in the Network Management & Resilience (Streets) Team. He is a part of a wonderful team of technical specialists who coordinate and plan what happens on our roads, working with our traffic signal colleagues to develop comprehensive strategies to ensure we keep London moving. He has worked within the transport sector for many years for public bodies and as a consultant working with organisations nationally.
Tony has been involved in Street Works for 29 years and has worked for Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for the same amount of time. He started off as a Street Works inspector and was promoted to Street Works Co-ordinator 3 years later until 2004 when he was appointed the Councils Traffic Manager. He is the Highway side chair of the National HAUC Inspection Working Group and the chair of the North London Joint Authority Group (JAG). He also plays an active role in London HAUC, JAG Strategy and JAG UK Council groups.
