Cat Goumal is Head of Education and Professional Development at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. With over a decade of managing education and professional development for professionals working in construction and the built environment, Cat now leads on all of CIHT's qualifications including the Chartered Transport Planning Professional, Chartered Engineer and the Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship as well as raising the profile of careers in highways and transportation and ensuring CIHT members develop the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the changing requirements of the sector.
David has extensive experience in guiding professionals through the membership process. His expertise will help demystify the application requirements and provide you with the knowledge to successfully join CIHT. Prior to his current role, David worked as Education and Training Manager, a role that oversaw applications for professional registration.
A Chartered Engineer with experience in road safety engineering, highway design, asset management and maintenance, and engineering education.
As Academic Lead for Civil Engineering at MKCTS Ltd providing Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes to the RSME at Brompton, her role includes course design and delivery for Royal Engineers under training to become Chartered and Incorporated Engineers.
Deborah is a Past President and Trustee of CIHT and sits on Council and the Education & Professional Development Strategy Board. She represents CIHT on the JBM and is a Professional Reviewer and Mentor, having reviewed over 100 CEng and IEng candidates. Deborah is a STEM Ambassador and chaired the Careers Guidance Steering Group for the CIHT, developing materials for use in schools and colleges to encourage young people to consider careers in the built environment. She is a Trustee and Vice Chair of Chatham Maritime Trust and the Living River Foundation.
In her spare time Deborah enjoys walking, birdwatching, and listening to Bob Dylan.
Glenn is a Chairperson of Technological University Dublin’s MSc in ‘Sustainable Transport and Mobility’ programme, as accredited for the Chartered Transport Planning Professional qualification. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer with Engineers Ireland, a Chartered Transport Planning Professional and a Transport Infrastructure Ireland approved Road Safety Auditor.
Glenn is actively involved in the committees for both the CIHT Republic of Ireland Branch and The Roads & Transportation Society at Engineers Ireland. He is also a mentor for those actively pursuing the CEng and CTPP qualifications.
Prior to taking a position at TU Dublin, Glenn held various positions at both Jacobs Engineering and the National Transport Authority while teaching Transportation Planning, Design and Modelling at University College Dublin part-time. His industry experience mostly features Transport Planning, Modelling, Traffic Impact Assessment, Infrastructure Design & Appraisal, Road Safety Auditing, infrastructure construction and the Design & Operations of Public Transport Networks.
While his background professionally is in civil engineering, he is passionate about promoting the transport planning profession particularly amongst those from multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
