He regularly performs at Montreal’s Just For Laughs and in front of capacity audiences everywhere from Paris to Vegas to Sydney.
Ed’s confident, affable conversational delivery charms audiences. His relaxed style disguises a sharp wit, and a mastery of the barbed comment. Whether railing against pop culture or politics, or observing life as a married man and father, Ed wins the crowd with his entlenatured rants.
Mock the Week’s most frequent guest, Ed and his friend Dara O Briain have also travelled around South America in their Big Adventure for BBC Two. As well as appearing on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie to You?, and a whole host of panel shows,
he’s also been a regular on the US talk show Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
Ed made his theatrical debut in Brian McAvera’s Kings of the Road. He has gone on to play a number of other roles in film and television - though to many he is still remembered as the voice of Carphone Warehouse commercials.

Baroness Newlove is a North-West based community campaigner and activist. She was given a peerage in the 2010 Dissolution Honours list and sits in the House of Lords as a Conservative Peer and a Deputy Speaker.
In October 2010, she was appointed Government Champion for Active, Safer Communities. She wrote several reports on helping people make a difference to their neighbourhoods. Her report, Building Safe, Active Communities: Strong foundations by local people, was published on 14 February 2012 and announced a £1m fund from DCLG to help communities tackle alcohol-fuelled anti-social behaviour.
In December 2012, Lady Newlove was appointed Victims Commissioner for England and Wales. The Commissioner’s role is to: promote the interests of victims and witnesses; encourage good practice in the treatment of victims and witnesses; and keep under review the operation of the Code of Practice for Victims.
Since coming to office, the Commissioner has spent a significant amount of time speaking to many victims of crime and the organisations that represent them, heads of criminal justice agencies. She has undertaken a number of reports, including handling of victim complaints, Restorative Justice, the Victim Personal Statement and victim support for children. Her 2016 international evidence-based report on “What Works” in victims’ services forms the basis of all her current thinking on how to make sure victims receive the support they need. In her last 6 months as Commissioner her final reports will be Criminal Injuries Compensation, Victim Advocacy, and Anti-Social Behaviour. The Commissioner will finish in March 2019.
