CIHT Cymru Wales is excited to offer this webinar with last year's CIHT Cymru Wales Bus Project of the Year Award winners the 'Traws Cymru T1 - Carmarthen to Aberystwyth Electric Bus Service’ project. We will be joined by Mark Jacobs, Senior Planning & Development Manager and Gethin George, Programme Manager from Transport for Wales' Bus Network Development team.
This presentation will talk through the strategy, implementation and outcomes of the award winning TrawsCymru T1 service. TrawsCymru is a series of long-distance bus services, and part of the integrated public transport network in Wales. Funded by Welsh Government, TrawsCymru provides vital integrated transport links for communities across Wales. The T1 route runs between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth and was the first TrawsCymru service to be contracted by Transport for Wales (TfW), and this provided an opportunity to deliver change through innovation, commitment, and collaboration with partners including, vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, local authorities and the operator.
Anyone working in the Highways and Transport sector, but particularly those interested in sustainable public transport.
