Overview

The delegation to Dubai is one of the biggest event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of CIHT Hong Kong. Being a learned society, it aims to provide a platform to broaden member’s horizons in highways & transportation. This delegation is scheduled from December 10, 2024 to December 16, 2024, allowing participants to visit pioneering infrastructure projects that epitomize innovation & intelligence in urban mobility and collaborate with CIHT Dubai.

Benefits to delegates

• Visiting pioneering infrastructure projects and learning the most advanced transportation system
• Gaining insights how sustainability, public welfare, technological innovation are integrated into urban transportation planning in UAE
• Acquiring knowledge on strategies for promoting sustainability in construction projects while still meeting the demands of a growing population and rapid urbanisation
• Promoting networking and collaboration with practitioners in UAE
• Delegates will have the opportunity to be involved in exchange session at prominent educational institution and local authorities

Application

The online application form will be opened on 25 October 2024 and closed on 5 November 2024. Kindly complete the Google Form to register and completing 500 words on reasons you want to join the delegation. (Successful applicants will be asked to provide full payment and copies of required travel documents)

After the delegation:
Delegates will be required to fill in an electronic survey for their feedback, submit a report on the delegation, and conduct a presentation. 

Remarks:

• The itinerary is tentative and subject to change
• All delegates must be local practitioners or students of Highway, Transport or Traffic Engineering and Hong Kong residents. Number of student delegates will be limited to 2.
• Applications will be considered as complete only upon receipt of your completed online application form, and subsequently, full payment of the price, a declaration form, a photocopy of your HKID card and travel documents. Once confirmed, payment is non-refundable
• Priorities will be given to CIHT Members. Only successful applicants will receive confirmation email
• CIHT Hong Kong reserves the rights of final decision in any case of disputes
