The push for decarbonisation in the transport sector requires us to have more insights into private and public vehicle stock than ever before. In this session, we’ll illustrate how combining different types of high-resolution data in Yorkshire & The Humber allows us to confidently define the existing and projected future uptake of low- and zero-emissions vehicle technologies, as well as the nuances of how, and where, they are used.
By combining this vehicle data with demographic indicators, we’ll show how we can highlight significant trends and patterns, such as outcomes from the choice of vehicle technology. These links are intrinsic to managing equitable access to travel choices.
At this event, we demonstrate how pathways to improve local air quality, and to achieve decarbonisation, may be enhanced by integrating these data trends in transport planning, and how important this can be to defining the mechanisms required to attain policy goals.
