CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber is excited to host a lunch and learn session on diversity in PPE. It will focus on inequalities in PPE provision among minority groups across the construction industry.
This event will be available to attend either in person in Leeds or online. The venue has limited capacity so please book early to avoid disappointment.
This session will focus on inequalities in PPE provision among minority groups across the construction industry.
Attendees will hear from National Association of Women in Construction, Yorkshire Campaign Manager, Katy Robinson, who will talk about some of the current issues faced and how the industry can make improvements.
We will also hear from RSK Buyer, Amy Compton, who will talk about the procurement journey that RSK have been on to enhance their offering of female-fit PPE for their employees. This includes events with suppliers to help facilitate discussions and the exchange of ideas, plus feedback surveys.
The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.

12:30 – 13:45 – Presentations and discussion (we will try to keep this event to 1hr but we have allowed a little extra time in case the discussion session does run over).

Katy Robinson is the Campaign Manager of the NAWIC Yorkshire PPE Campaign, aiming to address the widespread inequalities in PPE provision among minority groups across the construction industry.
Katy is also a Senior Project Manager for East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC).
