Led by CIHT Scotland. This webinar will provide an overview of how Dundee implemented it's EV strategy. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session.
Dundee is the perfect city for EVs and is regarded as Scotland's leading city in the adoption, promotion and operations of electric vehicles. The city is well-suited to widespread EV use and the council recognises the potential for EVs to support efforts to reduce pollution from road traffic and improve the air quality for Dundee citizens.
Dundee City Council currently has one of the biggest Local Authority electric fleets in the UK. It has a fully functional electric carpool and has recently moved onto bigger vehicles and introduced electric HGVs into the fleet. In the past 4 years, DCC have installed multiple charging hubs across the city with various charging configurations and renewable energy storage solutions. The hubs are close to local communities and support local businesses- clean alternative fuel in the hearts of the community.
This webinar will provide an overview of how Dundee implemented it's EV strategy and the challenges faced by the planning team.
Fraser Crichton, Corporate Fleet Operations Manager for Dundee City Council has been at the forefront of developing and implementing EVs and charging infrastructure within Dundee since 2010. He has overseen the growth of the council fleet of EVs and now has one of the largest fleets of EVs of any Local Authority in the UK. Pro-active in both private and public sector EV adoption he has presented at many events and attended many UK and European conferences on the large-scale adoption of EVs by fleets and how to deploy successful charging infrastructure.
