Designed to enhance the learning and development for people working in the highways and transportation sector, our bespoke digital learning platform, CIHT Learn, helps you progress your career.

CIHT Learn is a unique combination of current, practical and engaging online courses and other resources that are personalised to our member preferences. Most courses and modules are free to members, but can be purchased by non-members, with 2-3 new courses being added per month on average.

Speakers

John Hall - Professional Development Officer, CIHT

John has held positions in the Education and Professional Development departments at two Professional Engineering Institutions and has supported professional development pathway programs for both.

John also supported the early development of CIHT Learn and a couple of its courses, including one dedicated to CPD.

 

Sally Devine - Built Environment marketing, media and business development specialist

With over 35 years’ experience in the construction sector collaborating with both private and public sector clients, Sally has worked closely with CIHT for the last 20 years, providing ongoing front-line engagement with organisations whoo are active in the highways and transportation sector. 

Currently, Sally is working with the CIHT Learn team, developing content and ideas designed to support the needs of today’s Highways and Transportation sector professionals, at every stage in their career.

 

Rebecca Kingston - Finalist of the CIHT Emerging Professional of the Year 2024

Rebecca had a unique start to work during ‘lockdown’ allowing her to rapidly immerse herself in transport policy, strategy and guidance. She is constantly collaborating with broad stakeholder teams on the planning and design of development and regeneration projects.

She was honoured be the youngest person selected as finalist this year for the CIHT Emerging Professional Award 2024, in recognition of her dedication and determination to pick up the baton and play a constructive role to help better align transport outcomes with the needs of current and future generations. 

 

Carrie Playford - Digital Learning and Content Manager, CIHT

Based at home in Leeds, Carrie specialises in the end-to-end process of creating engaging, interactive, eLearning. Carrie has over 20 years of experience working in learning and development, delivering senior management training face-to-face, before moving into digital learning 10 years ago.

She inspires and guides authors and subject matter experts to write content that makes a difference, then transforms these into digital learning to ignite real results for the highways and transport industry.
