The session titled Embedding Carbon Management in Active Travel Strategy and Scheme Development will be presented by Josh Hudson-Jaques and Conrad Lindner.

We will discuss carbon assessment methodologies and best practice carbon management throughout the development of active travel schemes, sharing insights from our extensive experience in tackling carbon challenges in active travel.
The presentation will cover the importance of carbon management and the need for a comprehensive carbon management plan, methods for assessing carbon impacts, benefits and challenges in reducing carbon emissions, and strategies for reducing impacts.
Both Josh and Conrad bring a wealth of experience and expertise in transport planning and carbon management.

Josh Hudson-Jaques is a Senior Net Zero/Active Travel Consultant at WSP UK Limited, based in London. With extensive experience in transport planning, Josh has been involved in various high-profile projects, including the carbon management delivery of the A10/A14 Ely to Cambridge and the Essex Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs).
His expertise in active travel and carbon management makes him a valuable speaker for this event. Josh's role involves developing and implementing transport strategies that promote sustainable and low-carbon travel options. His practical experience and in-depth knowledge of transport planning, active travel and carbon reduction strategies will provide the audience with actionable insights and best practices.
Conrad Lindner is a Principal Consultant in the Transport Net Zero team at WSP, also based in London. Conrad specialises in transport decarbonisation, with extensive experience in the assessment of carbon impacts of transport schemes in both Australia and the UK. He understands the complexity and nuances of carbon quantification methodologies and has recently led the carbon appraisal of several high-profile transport schemes.
More broadly, his work includes embedding carbon management into transport schemes, the development of carbon management plans, and the implementation of innovative approaches to reduce carbon emissions in transport projects. His extensive experience and expertise in transport net zero initiatives make him an authoritative voice on the subject, providing the audience with valuable insights into achieving carbon reduction goals in transport planning.
