There will be 6 speakers this evening delivering 5 presentations around the topic of Health and Safety. Each presentation will last for around 10 minutes, with a Q&A session at the end.

Speakers
Stephen Hall:
Stephen is an Arup Director and he currently leads Arup’s Midlands Highways business. He is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Institution of Civil Engineers and has over 25 years professional experience of the Highways Sector. He is a specialist in feasibility and statutory procedural stages for major projects and has personally led a portfolio of schemes including the A303 Stonehenge, M4 Corridor around Newport and A9 Dualling Huntly to Aberdeen. He is currently overseeing Arup’s involvement in the Smart Motorways Programme.
Heather Potts:
Heather is an Associate at Arup and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, her dedication and passion for improving safety and reducing risks enables her to work successfully with clients to evaluate their operations and recommend improvements globally across a range of business sectors. She has recent experience working on power and infrastructure projects across Europe, as well as in Ethiopia, Philippines, and USA.
Oliver Pritchard:
Oliver is a Senior Consultant in Arup's Infrastructure Advisory group. His work is focused on assessing the risk and resilience of infrastructure assets to geohazards, severe weather and climate change impacts, and its impact on safety. He has helped develop resilience-based asset management approaches as well as providing technical support to infrastructure resilience-related programmes. Oliver has experience in the highways, rail and water sectors.
Robert Goode:
Robert is an Associate with Arup with significant experience in large and complex operations gained within the UK Nuclear Industry in both generation and decommissioning.
Rob has a proven ability to support strategic change in complex environments with expertise in conceptual modelling, planning and executing change. Rob is a strong advocate of engagement to deliver results and is a skilled consultant, trainer and group facilitator.
Stuart Vale:
Stuart is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Member of the ICE and CIHT. He has over 17 years’ experience on highway, rail and infrastructure projects working in both design and project management roles across all project stages. He is currently working on Highways England’s Smart Motorway Programme (SMP) and is the Project Manager of an Amey-Arup joint venture working on the M1 J23a-J25 scheme which has recently completed construction.he Project Manager of an Amey-Arup joint venture working on the M1 J23a-J25 scheme which has recently completed construction.
