National Highways are introducing weight restrictions on the M48 Severn Bridge. From Tuesday 27 May 2025, heavy goods vehicles over 7.5-tonnes will need to use the Prince of Wales bridge to travel between England and Wales.
National Highways’ Mark Maynard, Principal Advisor and Team Leader of the Engineering Division – Structures, and Chris Pope, Programme Delivery Manager in the Specialist Bridges Group (South West Operations) will brief CIHT members on the following:
