Showcasing one of our regional CIHT Y&H Award Winners, this lunchtime seminar presented by West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) and AECOM will discuss how the project team worked with Calderdale Council to deliver inclusivity-focussed stakeholder engagement for the new £20.5 million Halifax Bus Station.
In-person: 13:00 for a 13:30 start.
Online: the session will begin at 13:30.
The project's inclusivity-focussed stakeholder engagement, focussed on allowing accessibility groups to shape both the design of the facility and the approach to construction and communications, as well as keeping groups informed about changes to journeys through Halifax.
The targeted approach to engaging accessibility groups who rely heavily on buses has enhanced the way WYCA engages with such groups, leading to more inclusive outcomes that won the project several awards, including the CIHT Yorkshire and The Humber Equality Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Join us to learn more about the value of stakeholder engagement and how it can enhance the planning and design process for transport schemes.
