To ease the traffic congestion, Central Kowloon Route was launched to solve the traffic congestion problem across central Kowloon.The journey time between Yau Ma Tei and Kowloon Bay during peak hours is expected to be shortened from 30 minutes to about 5 minutes only. The KTE project consists of the construction of Kai Tak Interchange, including vehicular bridges, underpasses and at-grade link roads, and the Kai Fuk Footbridge.
This technical visit will begin with a brief introduction of the Central Kowloon Route Project and the Kai Tak East Project in the Community Liaison Centre (CKR-CLC). It is then followed by a guided tour in CKR-CLC and will move to the Kai Tak Road Footbridge to introduce the construction of bridges and some civil works at Kai Fuk Road. A Q&A session will be hosted by the project team after the site walk

She is promoting the construction methods for bridge work using BIM technology, including the Holographic Model and BIM cave inside the Community Liaison Centre (CLC). |
This technical visit will be limited to maximum 30 participants who are selected on a first-come first-served basis and online registration is required. Priority will be given to both CIHT and HKIE Members. Safety shoes and PPE are not required for the visit. All successful applicants will be notified by email.
