We're delighted to offer the first CIHT NE&C Coast to Coast Bike Ride where you will take in some breathtaking views and energy sapping hills extending from Whitehaven to Tynemouth over 3 days. The event is open to anyone with a road bike, mountain bike, hybrid or E bike. There may be an element of competition from some riders on the 3 climbs but for the most part this is very much a social ride with an emphasis on enjoyment to take on the route at your own pace.
As we're raising money for charity, one of the days is likely to take the form of fancy dress as we turn a few heads along the quayside.
The intention is to stay in Greystoke on Friday 11th July and head on to Eastgate on Saturday 11th July. Accommodation has been booked for you as part of the entry fee. Expect to be back on home soil by Sunday afternoon 12th July where you can reflect on a fantastic achievement of riding 150 miles over 3 days taking in the likes of Hartside and Garrigill.
Transport for you and your bikes will be provided to Whitehaven and a back up vehicle will be on hand for the duration of the route. If you'd like to enter, the total cost of the 3 day event will be £160 covering 2 nights accommodation, travel using Watbus, the back up vehicle and insurance. Spaces are limited to 12 riders as things stand so book in early to ensure your place is secured.
