This year’s event is a joint event with the Institution of Civil Engineers, whose members are competing for the Haiste Trophy. Both trophies will be competed for over the same round of golf. It is an excellent opportunity to meet other Transportation and Civil Engineering Professionals in an informal environment. 

• Reception and refreshments on arrival from 12:30.
• Golf - Individual Stableford. Full course handicap to maximum 28 (men) 36 (Ladies) from 13:00.  Start times will be advised about a week before the event.
• Dinner - Members and guests are invited to stay for dinner and networking after the golf at the clubhouse
• Prize giving by the Regional Golf Secretary at the dinner

All players competing for the Ridings Trophy will be eligible for selection to the team representing the Region in the CIHT National Championship, the Locan Cup on 14th and 15th September at Meon Valley Golf Club, Hampshire.

In 2024 the Locan Cup was won by the Yorkshire and Humber Region at Forest Pines Golf Club in North Lincolnshire and we hope to retain the Trophy at Meon Valley later this year.

It is hoped that there will be a large entry for the Ridings Trophy and that the Region can send at least 2 strong teams of 6 to the Locan Cup in September.

The event provides the opportunity for members to meet on an informal basis and, over the years, many friendships have been created and renewed annually.
