Ross Speirs, an experienced CIHT reviewer, will give you an insight on what to expect at your Professional Review and how to prepare for the day. This will cover the three different engineering qualifications along with some top tips to help you prepare for and succeed at your review.

Ross Speirs, Service Manager (Structural Services), Fife Council
Ross is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of Civil, Transportation and now Structural Engineering. He is a Fellow of the CIHT and the ICE. He is currently the Service Manager for Fife Council’s Structural Services, with a remit covering £600m of Council Assets including bridges, retaining walls, viaducts, harbours and a coastline of approximately 170km. He is also holds the remit for all aspects of the Council’s duties under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.
Ross has been a Professional Reviewer for the CIHT for 4 years, reviewing candidates at all levels of Professional Review and is the immediate past Chair of CIHT Scotland.
