During the COVID19 pandemic the 15 organisations in the Area 9 SRN Alliance worked collaboratively, adding value to the delivery of works and culminating in a virtual workshop attended by over 500 people.
The maturity of the Alliance ensured optimum delivery throughout the pandemic. The strength of the collaboration is demonstrated through the enthusiasm to maintain momentum in meetings and Joint Improvement Teams. The virtual COVID workshop overcame the impact of staff not being able to collaborative together in person and provided a platform for all Alliance organisations to communicate and share their experiences with a wide range of staff.

Teamwork begun in 2019, proved a solid grounding for the successful delivery of improvements to one of Transport for London’s (TfL) main river crossings. In partnership with Ringway Jacobs, Eurovia Contracting delivered the Vauxhall Bridge Refurbishment Scheme with TfL throughout the first and into the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Maximising the opportunities COVID presented to manage disruption on this vital Thames crossing point, by working more collaboratively through digital communication platforms and solutions at all stages created outcomes with lasting benefits.
The positive collaboration demonstrated by the team now sets new benchmarks in excellent scheme delivery for all project stakeholders.
