  • Anthony Kivistik
  • David Ogden
  • Ross Percy-Jones
  • Anne Shaw

Council advises on the strategic and professional direction of the Institution, shapes CIHT positioning on specific issues and ensures members’ needs are met.

Members who are eligible to vote (Full Members, Fellows, Associates, Graduates, Apprentices and Part Time Students) are asked to please take a few moments to read through the candidates’ statements before casting your vote.

Voting members were sent an email by Mi-Voice Monday 18 March 2024 with a link to the website https://www.mi-vote.com/secure/ciht where they can vote using their membership number (including the P0000) and last name. Members without a registered email address will have received a letter in the post with details of how to vote using the website or, alternatively, request a postal ballot form.

CIHT President Karen McShane said:

“Any institution is only as good as its members and as an organisation CIHT’s success relies upon its people and in particular their views on how we move forward to deal with current issues. At the heart of our Institution’s working is CIHT Council and I would urge members to consider joining this vital forum to bring forward your views and to help us sustain the acknowledged influence we have in our industry. Apart from the objectives of providing strategic and professional direction to the Board of Trustees, Council provides an essential linkage with the membership in all the Regions and Nations.

Having served on Council and subsequently on a choice of specific panels I have been able to articulate the views of both my Region and of fellow members. It is a great opportunity to steer the direction of the organisation as well as an opportunity for personal development and extending your own professional network. Please give serious consideration to having your say and for standing up for yourself and our profession by joining Council where all views are respected and diversity is prized as a key to a progressive and inclusive culture.”

The online ballot will close at 5pm on Friday 19 April 2024 and the results will be announced at CIHT’s AGM on 19 June 2024. If you have not received the email / letter from Mi-Voice or need any further help, please contact Mi-Voice directly: E: support@mi-voice.com.

All the candidates have been given the opportunity to produce videos for their campaign. Meet one of the candidates, Anne Shaw, below.
