Inclusion on the Employer Directory emphasises CIHT’s position at the forefront of skills and its role in developing a future workforce for the transport planning industry. 

The Employer Directory has a membership of over 90 professional and employer-led bodies. Directory members are increasingly being called upon by IfATE to advise on apprenticeship quality, T Levels, HTQs, approval of wider level 2 and 3 technical qualifications, and occupational maps which guide employers and potential learners on different training opportunities.

To be added to the employer directory, CIHT demonstrated our extensive experience in education, training, sector knowledge and the ability to represent our members.  This recognition is particularly significant for our members involved in transport planning apprenticeships in England, as it solidifies our role in shaping the quality and standards within transport planning. Membership of the employer directory reinforces CIHT’s commitment to skills development in transport planning and places CIHT at the forefront of ensuring the competence and excellence of new entrants to the transport planning workforce.

CIHT is an End Point Assessment organisation for the L3 Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship  and is involved in the Transport Planner Degree Apprenticeship through the Technical Apprenticeship Consortium.  To avoid any conflicts of interest, CIHT will not take part in Employer Directory activities relating to the external quality assurance of apprenticeship end-point assessment.
