CIHT members announced as first Highways UK Laureates

CIHT would like to congratulate Ginny Clarke FCIHT and Janvi Shah MCIHT on being the recipients of the Highways UK Laureates programme, set up to recognise the achievements of outstanding individuals in the highways sector.

Ginny Clarke, CBE, former board director of strategy and planning at Highways England. The judges considered Ginny an outstanding nominee and praised her technical excellence, strategic thinking, calm demeanour and accessibility, in addition to her inspirational contribution to the highways industry.

Ginny has said: “I am very honoured to have been awarded the first Highways UK Laureate in recognition of my work in the field of highways. Throughout my career I have been fortunate to work on a range of fascinating projects and with many dedicated people.”

Janvi Shah is also being recognised as an Associate Laureate. Nominated earlier in the year for the prestigious Karen Burt Award, Janvi has been acknowledged for going well beyond the remit of their day jobs and for demonstrating energy and enthusiasm in helping to promote and improve the sector.

The achievements of all three Laureate elects will be celebrated at the Highways UK Laureate Awards dinner, on 7 November, the middle evening of Highways UK.
