The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) has submitted a response to the Department for Transport (DfT) to support the development of an Integrated National Transport Strategy (INTS) for England.
The Department for Transport is seeking ideas for the Integrated National Transport Strategy (INTS) which will set the high-level direction for how transport should be designed, built and operated in England over the next 10 years.
Key recommendations submitted by CIHT included:
CIHT calls for the strategy to be vision-led and treat England’s transport networks as a system of systems.
