CIHT has submitted its response to the Department for Transport’s survey on regulating on-street micromobility, recommending that local authorities have the power to shape shared micromobility schemes and ensure they work for local people.
CIHT has responded to the Department for Transport’s survey on regulating on-street micromobility in England.
The survey was launched on 7th January to explore how to empower Local Transport Authorities to regulate on-street micromobility schemes.
The survey set out to gain early views on the Department’s approach to regulate on-street micromobility schemes to inform primary legislation. The Department plans to consult in more detail in the future on the finer aspects of the policy intended for secondary legislation.
