The region’s Chair, Michael Chung, welcomed over 100 industry colleagues from across the region to celebrate the very best the region offers across the key areas of the highways and transportation industry. The Awards recognise the outstanding contribution that good projects and people make to our daily lives.
Guests were joined by the CIHT’s President, Karen McShane, together with representatives of the North East and Cumbria, North West, East Midlands and the Republic of Ireland Regions plus representatives from ICE and Martin Tugwell, Chief Executive for Transport for the North.
The judging panel were impressed with the high calibre of entries throughout, and the competition was very close. This year the judges decided to award an additional award for an outstanding submission due to the extraordinary quality of one submission.
The committee would like to thank all of the entrants and also Balfour Beatty, Brightly Software, Roughan & O’Donovan, SCP, Tracsis and Waterman Aspen for sponsoring the awards this year.
Congratulations to all the winners and commended entries this year.
And thank you to all those who donated toward the Chair's nominated charity this year, Mind. We raised just under £700 (before Gift Aid).
