The CIHT Awards 2024 shortlist is out and contains many of the latest companies, projects and initiatives featuring good practice within the transport sector.

This year there are 13 awards categories and the winning entries will be presented in person at the renowned CIHT Awards ceremony, taking place on the 13 June 2024 at 8 Northumberland Avenue London.
The shortlisted entries for the CIHT Awards 2024 are:
Recognising the importance of effective relationships with other organisations those that have shown dedication to working in collaboration.
Showing how outstanding design and implementation of schemes in towns, cities and rural areas improves the places around them and create places for people.
Showcasing projects, schemes, products, and strategies that can demonstrate the delivery of a significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Recognising employers or individuals that have implemented (or been involved in) an EDI (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion) initiative of merit.
Highlighting exceptional engineering solutions that have delivered creative and resilient infrastructure.
This award will recognise an individual in the sector that has demonstrated professionalism in the work that they do. The winner will be announced at the CIHT Awards event in June.
For an outstanding piece of research in the highways and transportation sector that looks to improve the industry by addressing a specific problem.
Recognises outstanding achievements which improve road user safety through excellent practice, design and technical application.
Celebrating projects, schemes, products, or strategies delivered or developed by the highways and transportation industry that can demonstrate a contribution to sustainable development.
Celebrates the achievements of teams who have demonstrated professionalism and have been able to adapt and work effectively under the challenges posed in the highways and transportation sector.
Rewarding innovation in the industry, such as new technology, products, processes, and services that have impacted an organisation, industry and society positively.
The National Bus Strategy created the Bus Centre of Excellence (BCoE), funded and co-sponsored by the Department for Transport (DfT), enabling the delivery of a long-term programme of activities and support to the bus sector. In partnership with the DfT, CIHT delivers the BCOE, working closely with sector stakeholders to deliver an asset that is run by the industry for the industry
Recognising outstanding initiatives within the field of bus transportation that have made a significant positive impact in England
This award acknowledges an individual's exceptional contribution within the bus transportation sector. It will be presented on the night at the CIHT Awards ceremony in June.
