The Department for Business and Trade opened a new consultation on the development of the new UK’s industrial strategy: Invest 2035: the UK’s modern industrial strategy , closing on 24th November 2024.
The consultation will inform the government's proposed plan to ease the investor journey and create long-term, inclusive, secure and sustainable growth. The final industrial strategy will be published in spring 2025, alongside the multi-year spending review.
The UK government's has set out a 10-year plan aimed at fostering economic growth by increasing investment in high-potential sectors. It focuses on overcoming barriers to growth, creating high-quality jobs, and ensuring benefits are felt across the UK.
The strategy targets eight key sectors, including advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and life sciences, and aims to boost both international and domestic investment. By promoting innovation, skills, infrastructure, and regional development, the strategy seeks to drive sustainable, inclusive growth while supporting Net Zero and economic resilience.
