Innovative approaches to quality assurance on road construction projects were presented to CIHT’s Qatar Group at a seminar in September. Experts from Fugro explained that Qatar has a significant number of road projects and engineers face many challenges in their delivery, including risks relating to time delay and costs in maintaining construction quality.

Daniel Ludemann and Zahi Chamoun from the company discussed how advances in technology and new testing techniques could improve quality assurance and provide more certainty for engineers in making decisions about project design and acceptance.

This, they told the audience, would help support innovation and contribute to delivering projects on time, below budget and to the required quality. CIHT Qatar thanked Fugro for its support as a leading contributor and sponsor to the Group and Chair Veronica Yu presented an award to Daniel Ludemann, the company’s regional service line manager, as a token of its appreciation. 'CIHT Qatar is sponsored by AECOM, DCE, Egis, Fugro, PAF, Seero, TMS and WSP
