Join us for the 2025 CIHT Dubai AGM where the new committee will be elected and the aims for next year set out.

This is an important event within the regional calendar as it allows you, the Membership, to have a direct say in the focus and direction you wish to see over the coming year. In addition to receiving an update on what’s been undertaken over the last twelve months, Members will also be able to vote for a new Committee who will preside over what is expected to be another busy and productive year.

The AGM will be held virtually via Teams, by registering for this event you will receive a Teams meeting link via email.

The AGM will see the region’s Chair reflect on the past year and the successes of the region. The AGM will see the election of new committee members and will also see the appointment of the Chair and Officers to take forward the region’s plans for the next year.

Become a Committee Member

There are lots of benefits of getting involved with your local committee; CIHT’s regions and nations play a critical role for the Institution, acting as a focal point for members to meet and share their experiences locally. The regions and nations organise an annual programme of activities, which include CPD opportunities, seminars, site visits and social events. A more formal announcement will be made in the forthcoming weeks with details of the proposed elected office bearers and ordinary members of the committee.

If you a member of CIHT, and would like to take a proactive and voluntary role in helping run the local region please get in touch. We look to include a broad representation from across the relevant sectors – central and local government, private sector consultancy, contractors and academia. We would particularly welcome interest from emerging professionals who are either starting out in their career or who have recently become professional qualified to join our Emerging Professionals Group. Involvement in the committee will count towards Continuing Professional Development and can lead in the longer term to involvement in national CIHT activities.

Nominations to join the committee can be made using the regional committee nomination form. Applications should be supported by four regional members and completed with a declaration by you the candidate to show you are willing to stand.
