NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CIHT South West Region will hold its Annual General Meeting at 12:00 on Wednesday 14 May 2025.

Come along and support your local committee, learn about what’s happening in your area, plans for the future, and meet fellow CIHT members.

The AGM will see Hannah Clark, CIHT South West Chair reflect on the past year and the successes of the region. The AGM will see the election of new committee members and will also see the appointment of the Chair and Officers to take forward the region’s plans for the next year.

If you wish to join the AGM, please book your place to attend. Once you have booked your place via this webpage, you will receive a confirmation email with the joining link for the Teams meeting.

Become a committee member

We welcome applications to become a committee member from across all membership grades and from all backgrounds within the transportation sector. Members from all parts of the South West are encouraged to put themselves forward for nomination as we look to cover as-wide-an-area as possible.

Becoming a CIHT Regional Committee member can help you expand your network with leading professionals in your area and help you stand out from the crowd. You can also find more information about the regional committee roles in the Regional Officers Area.

Joining your committee also counts towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and can lead to longer involvement in national CIHT activities. We currently have vacancies in the following roles:

• EDI Officer: You would be the region’s EDI representative, responsible for organising events and championing causes aligned to the CIHT Strategy.
• Recruitment Officer: You would support our recruitment team to attract and retain members in the South West region, working with employers and educational institutions to highlight the benefits of membership
• Committee Member: You would participate in the committee meetings without a specific remit, but with the view to support the committee in the delivery of their activities and annual business plan commitments.

Nominations to join the committee can be made using the regional committee nomination form.
Formal nominations must be made by 5pm on Tuesday 13th May 2025. Applications should be supported by four regional members and completed with a declaration by you the candidate to show you are willing to stand.
